By Callum Gunn
Diagon Alley is open for all but there is a catch. Here is how to unlock Diagon Alley in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery.
Diagon Alley has been teasing Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery players for some time now. Ever since it popped up in Year 4 as a locked out option, it’s been infuriating. But now it is open for all, but there is a catch. Here is how to unlock Diagon Alley in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery.
Step number one, you need to have reached Year 5, Chapter 10 in the game. You need to be this far within the game because it is at this point when you are taught by Madam Rakepick how to use Floo Powder to travel to Diagon Alley.

Well, weirdly, once you have completed all of the story quests for Year 5, Chapter 10 you are once again locked out of Diagon Alley. So yeah, pretty big catch actually.

Why Jam City decided to do this is not clear. It could be a bug of some sorts. It may be Jam City only want Diagon Alley to be available to players at specific points in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery.
Whatever their reason might be, you have a decision to make. Explore Diagon Alley, complete the challenges, and be locked out of the magical street. Alternatively, you could hold off on completing all of the challenges, maybe complete a few but not all, and continually revisit the magical iconic street until we figure out if, and when, it will ever be unlocked again.
