Daniel Radcliffe explains why he will never see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child [Video]

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child might be the most popular show on Broadway right now but Daniel Radcliffe has no plans on ever seeing the production.
The production may be about The Boy Who Lived 19 years on, but Daniel Radcliffe, who played The Boy Who Lived throughout all eight Harry Potter movies has no intention of seeing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. At least not for now anyway.
While appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Daniel Radcliffe explained that he has not seen the production. Despite only being about ten minutes down the round from the Lyric Theatre (the theatre where Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is being shown) as Radcliffe appears in his very own production on Broadway, The Lifespan of a Fact.

The play, by John D’Agata, sees Daniel Radcliffe star alongside Bobby Cannavale, known for Homecoming and Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Cherry Jones, known for Boy Erased and Transparent.

Daniel Radcliffe’s reason for not seeing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is actually really understandable. Explaining it would not be a comfortable viewing experience for him.
"“it would not be a relaxing evening at the theatre.”“I would be being watched for my reaction,”"
Seth Meyers is on the same page as Daniel Radcliffe, pointing out that he would be:
"“a distraction from the art”"

Considering how huge and magnificent the Wizarding World fandom is, Daniel Radcliffe has a fair point. He would become a bit of a distraction, and take away focus from the production which wouldn’t really be fair on the cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
And if you were in his shoes, would you really be ok with people staring at you? When all you are trying to do is enjoy a production? I don’t think any of us would.
