Charmed preview: Girls are confronted by a demonic visitor

The preview for next week’s “Out of Scythe” episode could be ground-breaking as the Charmed Ones face a new demonic threat.

The promo trailer released by The CW for the next episode of the new reboot implies Mel, Maggie and Macy will be up against something very powerful. The preview shows the sisters and Harry being victims of a demonic earthquake, which indicates the enemy must be stronger than anything the girls have faced so far. Will the team be able to fight it off?

Also in the episode, a strange unknown man will visit the Vera/Vaughn household. Youngest sister, Maggie, will have the pleasure of greeting this man for the first time and it seems the stranger knows who she is. Upon looking at Maggie, the man looks relieved and calls her a “Charmed One”. It could be this man is also a part of the magical world and needs the collective power of the sisters to overcome an enemy of his, which would explain how he knows Maggie is a powerful witch just by looking at her. The man begs Maggie for help before collapsing to the floor in the house. Whatever demon is on the loose, it could be that the stranger is already under their curse. Will the Charmed Ones be able to protect him?

It looks like there will also be a darker guest approaching the girl’s house too as a shadowy figure is shown at their front door. The preview suggests the episode is going to be a spooky one and the gang is plunged into darkness as Harry announces “It’s here.” We might be looking forward to a magical fight in the girls’ home. With the sisters having to deal with potentially the biggest evil threat they have ever had to face, will they be able to overcome the demon?

With the arrival of whatever monster featuring in this week’s episode, this could also mean that the Charmed Ones whereabouts is now common knowledge amongst the underworld. This might be the start of a string of regular visits from dark entities who want the sisters dead, and whether they succeed in vanquishing this first imposter might impact how many other disturbances occur throughout the rest of the season.
