RuPaul

Hey Kitty Girl! RuPaul is the Supermodel of the World, and he deserves a spot at everyone’s holiday table.

RuPaul was a visionary in the drag community who went from being a punk club kid in New York City to being an Emmy-winning businessman with his name on a massively popular TV show, multiple spin-offs, chocolate bars, hit albums, best-selling books, and anything else you can think of. The stories he has from his early days of drag would probably be real showstoppers, and if you’ve ever listened to Ru’s podcast with Michelle Visage, What’s The Tee, you know Ru loves to tell a story.

Besides Ru’s laugh echoing through your entire house, he’s also really inspiring. He came from nothing to become one of the biggest names in showbusiness, all while being a queer man of color. Ru has always been unapologetically himself, and he used that to his advantage and now he’s cashing in big time! He always has such wise things to say and his advice to queens on RuPaul’s Drag Race is often very endearing and almost maternal. Just don’t be surprised if he starts asking about your childhood trauma at the dinner table!

If Ru brings Michelle Visage along for the party, you can forget about getting a word in edgewise. Those two can talk until the cows come home, and you won’t even care because you’ll be either fascinated, horrified, or laughing along with them. Try not to choke on any turkey or mac and cheese, Ru may practically be a life coach — his new book is even called GuRu — but he ain’t a doctor!
