Supernatural preview: Jack goes on his last ever road trip

Previews show the whole gang is searching for a way to save Jack from his illness. However, Jack has different plans for his final days on Earth.

The ending of last week’s episode showed Jack collapsing and coughing up blood, leaving Dean at a loss for what to do or how to help. It looks as though this week’s episode will involve Sam, Dean and Castiel trying everything in their power to prevent Jack from deteriorating. Will they discover what is causing the young boy to get weaker?

The preview clip released from The CW for the next episode titled “Unhuman Nature” shows that the gang will enlist the help of everyone’s favorite witch, Rowena, to try and save Jack. Rowena, alongside Castiel, will most probably be able to distinguish the reason behind Jack’s state, and it might have something to do with Jack’s history, previously being a nephilim. The draining of his grace last season, and all his angelic powers, might have resulted in the draining of his human energy as well, causing Jack to become mortally ill. This might be something so unique and unusual that it can’t be healed by Castiel or Rowena.

Whilst the team is struggling to prevent Jack from dying, Jack starts packing up to go to Las Vegas. It seems that the young boy wants to spend whatever time he has left experiencing things he has never done and having as much fun as he can. This might not go down well with the others. Castiel, in particular, is very protective over Jack, treating him like a son. Therefore he might be strongly against Jack leaving the bunker, desperately wanting to focus on prolonging Jack’s life instead.

Regardless of what the gang thinks, it looks as though Jack will get his wish because the preview shows Jack driving Dean’s car as the two of them go on a road trip. This is surprising because we all know how protective Dean is of his Impala, so it could be that this scene is during some of Jack’s final hours. Giving the Impala a drive could be one of Jack’s last wishes, and bringing Dean along with him on his last ever trip is going to be really heart-wrenching.
