Sorry Dramione fans, Tom Felton doesn’t think it was ever meant to be

Dramione fans, I’m sorry but I have some disappointing news to deliver. Tom Felton has confessed that he doesn’t think it was ever meant to be.

It might be a very hard thing to hear, but Tom Felton, the legendary Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter, doesn’t think Dramione was ever meant to be. He doesn’t believe Draco and Hermione are secretly in love.

The ship, which I think has been around since the beginning of Harry Potter, or at least since the moment Hermione punched Draco in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, is easily one of the most popular ships in the franchise; and it has been dealt a huge blow.

Felton spoke to the RadioTimes.com about his new series Origin. The YouTube Premium series dropped on the network on November 14 which sees a group of passengers bound for a distant planet wake to find that everybody aboard the spaceship had left. Stranded and alone, they try to survive and find out what happened while revisiting what made them leave Earth in the first place.

It was during this interview that Felton revealed his own thoughts on the Dramione ship:

"“Draco and Hermione? I don’t [think they’re in love], at least, not from the books that I read!“They did not seem to be a love hate kind of thing – but I am very familiar with that shipping.”"

While it might be difficult for Dramione fans to hear such a thing. At least fans have the knowledge that while the characters may have a difficult relationship, both Tom Felton and Emma Watson are very good friends in real life. The two recently had a mini-Harry Potter reunion.
