There are some crossovers you instantly imagine. And there are some that come from nowhere that you instantly get on board with. That’s certainly the case with the Fantastic Beasts Pokémon mashup.
Created by the wonderful team at Fun.com, the Fantastic Beasts Pokémon mashup is a wonderful blend of two massive fandoms. Both of whom are heading into major launches this week.
Fantastic Beasts, as you know, is heading into the worldwide launch of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. And Pokémon, is getting ready to launch their two Let’s Go games. Both of which are dropping this Friday, Nov 16.

They’ve gone and done it with the vast majority of magical creatures, from my personal favorite creature, The Niffler. Ove to Newt Scamander’s favorite creature, the Bowtruckle. The Demiguise, Mooncalf, and others, including the famous Thestral that first appeared in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

It’s quite an amazing collection that Fun.com has created.
So amazing, that maybe, just maybe, with the aide of this mashup, we could convince Fantastic Beasts & Pokémon to make a special video game. Wouldn’t that be something? I know I would play it and want to catch them all. Yeah, yeah, I know, that was cheesy using the catchphrase, but hey ho.
