Crazy Ex-Girlfriend: What is Rebecca going to do all alone?

With her girl squad seemingly disbanding, what is Rebecca going to do in West Covina on her own?

Everyone is moving on with their lives on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend… and Rebecca is a bit stuck. No matter how much she tries to get out of her own head, she is still going back to her own ways. Explaining to her therapist that she sees life as a competition, Rebecca spent the episode surrounding herself with people who were not as far along in their life as she was rather than spending time with her friends before they move.

But now that Heather and Hector gone off to El Segundo and Valencia and Beth moved to New York City, Rebecca only has Paula again. Which isn’t a bad thing, the two have been best friends since the beginning. The problem is that Paula is focusing her time and energy on her family more than she is on her friendships.

So, where does all this leave Rebecca? Who knows really. What’s important to remember is that Rebecca still has a return of Greg Serrano to look forward to (a fact we know as the audience but Rebecca Bunch doesn’t know). After last week, she’s also seemingly given up on Nathaniel meaning that there is a new spot in her life for Greg, if they chose to go down that path once more.

Without Valencia and Heather, there are a lot of other friendships that Rebecca can work on again. Since the baby was born, she hasn’t really spent too much time with Darryl or White Josh. As if we’re reading from her latest horoscope, maybe now is the time to reconnect with old friends. Rebecca can revisit all those relationships she has been neglecting.

Then again, this might just be a way for Rebecca to reach out to someone like Greg. For so long, she’s had so many people in her life that she didn’t need to revisit past relationships that had no closure. Yet now that her friends are gone and Rebecca is forced to look at herself, maybe she’ll reach out to Greg. The two certainly have a lot to talk about. (Remember when Rebecca slept with Greg’s father?)

Overall, we hope Rebecca does not go back to her old ways. She needs to find a new group of friends or at least someone specific to hang out with whenever she wants, or else those bad habits creep back into her life.
