The latest Funko release for Infinity War is giving us Beauty and the Beast vibes

Infinity War is getting two new releases from Funko. One is an epic movie moment, and the other reminds us of a certain fairytale movie.

Collectors get ready, because Funko is not stopping with the Avengers: Infinity War merchandise anytime soon — well, probably until Avengers 4 comes out, that is. But today, the toy company showed off its plans for two entirely new releases from the Marvel movie. While both of them are nice, we have to admit, one of them reminds of us a little Disney movie by the name of Beauty and the Beast.

The collectible of note here is the Marvel: Gauntlet Dome. Though it is by Funko, it’s not a Pop!. And, as you can see in the photo below, it’s a replica of Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlet in a glass dome… a dome pretty similar to what houses the rose in Beauty and the Beast.

This Hot Topic exclusive looks pretty neat, judging by the rendering. But the dome cover protecting the Infinity Gauntlet makes us think that represents Thanos’ livelihood, just like with rose did with the Beast. We can only imagine the Infinity Stones falling off one by one, the gauntlet rusting away until someone proves to Thanos that he can love and he can be loved. And if all the stones were to fall before the curse breaks, he’s doomed to look like a California Raisin forever.

All jokes aside, the collector’s item might be pretty cool for anyone who’s feeling a bit like Odin — wanting show off their fancy valuable, even though it’s faker than a $3 bill.

The second collectible in this release is a new Movie Moment featuring Thor and Thanos. It’s the scene where Thor essentially goofed by striking Thanos in the chest and not the head. If you like to memorialize the most upsetting movie moments in history, then this Funko Pop! is definitely for you. (As CBR suggested, the scene where Star-Lord wakes up Thanos should be next if this is the trend we’re going for.)

Each of these Marvel collectibles will be released in December, just in time for the holidays. The Infinity Gauntlet is not yet available on the Hot Topic website, but the link most likely will appear on the site’s Funko section when the product goes up. The Movie Moments Pop! seems to only be available as a preorder on EntertainmentEarth.com as of now.
