Ezra Miller tipped to play Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory prequel movie

Harry Potter producer David Heyman is currently working on a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory prequel movie and Fantastic Beasts star Ezra Miller is tipped to play Willy Wonka.

The famous story by Roald Dahl, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, is getting a prequel movie and who better to play the famous chocolatier than Fantastic Beasts star Ezra Miller? David Heyman, who produced all of the Harry Potter movies and Fantastic Beasts movies, made it known that Miller, along with a few other actors, were in the front running to play the eccentric character.

While the movie is miles away from completion, with no release dates or casting being officially confirmed, Heyman explained what the movie will be focused on. Explaining that it will be set before the previous movies and original novel, focused on the pre-Golden Ticket era.

It will establish how Willy Wonka ended up locking himself away, hiring the Oompa Loompas, and what eventually led him to where we first meet him in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Those tipped to play the chocolatier alongside Ezra Miller are Donald Glover and Ryan Gosling. Officially, nothing has been announced or confirmed, so this can only be taken as speculation and rumor.

Now obviously, with Ezra Miller being connected with the Wizarding World, there is going to be some bias here at Wizards and Whatnot. But, could you really imagine anyone better playing the character? Both Donald Glover and Ryan Gosling are brilliant actors, but Miller could be described as being born for this role. He would bring something truly unique and different that nobody else would be able to.

Again, there is bias here, but it’s true and you know it.

Confirmation or denial will not be arriving any time soon. With the prequel movie being in the very early stages, and with Heyman’s involvement in Fantastic Beasts, as with Millers, there are more pressing matters due first.
