Chrissy Teigen has the perfect response after being shamed for not breastfeeding

Mommy shaming or parenting shaming isn’t new by any means on social media, especially when it comes to topics such as breastfeeding. Mix that controversial conversation with the likes of Chrissy Teigen, who is always quick to call out an internet troll, and we’ve got one solid response.
Teigen’s breastfeeding choices came under fire when husband John Legend posted a sweet picture of his family on Instagram. Legend and Teigen have two children, Luna and Miles.
The photo shows the former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue model with her children hanging out backstage at The Voice. But it’s not Legend’s role on the show or the kids’ presence backstage that caused some of the singer’s followers to sound off.
Even though the photo was posted on Legend’s Instagram page, some users questioned Teigen for not breastfeeding. Chrissy has previously shared photos of her breastfeeding one of her kids (as well as a doll — adorable!) on Instagram. But that didn’t stop the mom-shamers from criticizing the model mom.
Teigen had a variety of ways in which she could have handled this situation. She could have pointed out that she has breastfed in the past, or she could have asserted that it was nobody’s business but her family’s as to whether she nursed or bottle-fed her kids.
But Teigen being the wise, witty, and wonderful woman that she is, she came up with the ideal clapback. In response to the user asking, “You no longer breastfeed?” on Legend’s Instagram page, Teigen hilariously responded, “John never breastfed Miles.”
Following her response, some users sided with Chrissy.
“Sometimes the boobs needs a damn break. It’s OKAY to give a bottle,” wrote one defender of Teigen.
