Looking to play more of the story on Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery? Year 5, Chapter 7 has now been added, along with a funky new toad skin.
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery has added another year to the story. You can now play Chapter 7 of the fifth year, which is certainly fun within itself. However, the update from Jam City has also included a new skin for toads.
There has been a big update in the animals in recent weeks. Last week saw the addition of the Kneazle in the list of pets that you can purchase and now you can work your way up to the purple skin for your toad.
Getting the toad skin
Like many other additions like this, you’ll need to earn crests and build up that reward meter.
10 crests = 100 coins
15 crests = 250 coins
38 crests = 3 notebooks
67 crests = toad skin
88 crests = 4 notebooks
So, to get this new toad skin, you’ll need to collect 67 crests. You can do that by taking part in various challenges and special events throughout the game.

What are the notebooks?
You may have noticed the mention of notebooks. This is a relatively new addition and allows you to adopt various pets within Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. You need 60 notebooks to be able to adopt some pets and it’s not easy to grab one. This is something you’ll want to decide if you want to take part in or not.
Hogwarts Mystery Year 5, Chapter 7
You’ll also know that Chapter 7 has been added to the fifth year story. During this chapter, you need to learn more about Duncan Ashe, a ghost who may be able to shed more light on his brother Jacob’s disappearance. He disappeared in the cursed Vaults and you need to figure out how and why.

Of course, things will be trickier in this chapter. Jam City is upping the ante to make you try harder and have more fun.
