By Callum Gunn
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald isn’t even out in theatres yet but J.K. Rowling may have revealed the setting of Fantastic Beasts 3?
All eyes are on the up and coming Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald for Potterheads. However, some very eagle-eyed fans may have spotted J.K. Rowling revealing the setting for the next installment in the Wizarding World franchise, Fantastic Beasts 3.
J.K. Rowling is known for being very active on Twitter. She happily engages with her followers, discussing a variety of topics from politics to social issues, and of course the Wizarding World.
Rowling recently decided to update the header image on her Twitter profile, and it caught the attention of many fans. Some fans immediately put the question to her, what was the new header image all about? She happily responded, letting fans know where the picture is from.
You will notice that the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts author misspelled the Brazilian city. Something that she quickly corrected.
It’s a spelling mistake we could all do ourselves. Spelling mistakes are easily done after all. However, it looks like Rowling was quite surprised at the mistake she made, especially after she had been writing the name of the city for some time now.

A Magical School does exist in this area of the world. The franchise is expected to explore more of the magical world so it would make perfect sense to do so. Brazil is rich in lore and culture as well so there is plenty of potential magical creatures and stories that can come from this area of the world.
And unless Rowling is working on a secret book, the only other story it could potentially be is a children’s book she spoke of some time ago, as she recently released the next chapter on the Cormoran Strike, Lethal White, to the world.
Making it a good bet that we’re right on this one. Fantastic Beasts 3 looks set to be traveling to Brazil, and specifically Rio de Janerio.
