Eddie Redmayne admits that when he was given his wand in Fantastic Beasts he didn’t quite know what he was supposed to do.
You would think Eddie Redmayne was just a natural at everything. There’s just something about him that makes you think he could figure anything out if he had to. But it seems that using a wand is not one such thing, as he revealed in the run-up to Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
Digital Spy reports, that during The Graham Norton Show, which is to air tomorrow Oct. 26, Eddie Redmayne had no idea what to do with his wand. Revealing that when giving his wand, he thought he would be a pro, but in reality had no idea.

And to be fair to Redmayne, I think we would all be like that really. If anyone of us was in his shoes, we would be so pumped and ready to swish and flick our wands, but in reality, would probably hold it, stare at it, and completely fan out at the fact we just got handed a wand.

We would all more than likely be needing the wand coaching as well that Redmayne spoke of. Because we would either be too distracted and being typical Wizarding World nerds, or doing everything wrong and running the risk of taking someone’s eye out.
"“When you get to be in JK Rowling’s world, you suddenly get a wand……you think you are going to be a pro……you really don’t know what to do with it,”…I actually got a movement coach to help me work out how to use it…"
Redmayne attended the talk show program along with Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald co-star Jude Law, a.k.a Young Professor Dumbledore.
The Graham Norton Show featuring Eddie Redmayne and Jude Law airs tomorrow Oct. 26 at 10.35 PM local time on BBC One. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald premieres in theatres Nov. 16, 2018.
