Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them coming to Netflix Canada next month
By Callum Gunn
There’s some great news for Canadian fans. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is coming to Netflix Canada next month.
November is an excellent month to be a Canadian. Not only does Fantastic Beasts 2 finally make it to theaters, but Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will make its way to Netflix Canada.
It’s not often we get to write this. The rights on the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts franchises are limited. Just last month, the streaming service said that it wasn’t getting the Harry Potter movies in a hilarious tweet. However, nothing was ever mentioned about the prequel movies.
More from Harry Potter
- Tom Felton is the star of the new Harry Potter x CASETiFY collection
- Create a magical event worthy of Hogwarts with this new Harry Potter-themed party planning book
- Can Fantastic Beasts hold up to the Harry Potter franchise?
- Show off your Wizard’s Chess skills with this Harry Potter set that’s now over half off
- Harry Potter continues to inspire generations – including Jack Harlow
Netflix Canada released its full list of shows and movies coming to the service in November. To our surprise, Fantastic Beasts was on the list. Yes, I did a double take to make sure I was really reading the title and not just wishing that it was there.
Even better news is that the movie drops before the second movie is out in the theaters on Nov. 7, 2018. You’ll have the chance to rewatch the first movie to remember Newt Scamander’s first journey to New York. Meet Tina, Jacob, and Queenie again and remember the mischief the niffler got up to.
Hopefully, this means that Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will also head to Netflix Canada in the future. If the service keeps the rights to stream the franchise, this will probably happen the week before the third movie is released in theaters.
