We all have our favorite Harry Potter scene and so does Oliver Phelps, and the actor has been explaining why the scene is so important to him.
Let me ask you, what is your favorite Harry Potter scene involving Fred and George Wesley? For me, it would have to be when the pair divebombed Professor Umbridge with fireworks, or the time they annoyed Mad-Eye Moody about knowing what Goblin pee tasted like. But not Oliver Phelps, he has another scene in mind.
The Harry Potter actor has been speaking to Entertainment Weekly recently and revealed not only his favorite scene in the entire franchise but also why the scene is so important to him. It happened in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and it involved the Marauder’s Map.

Phelps explained that the scene is so important because this scene meant something to his Grandfather. He explained how, when James and Oliver Phelps were filming the movies, his grandfather went out to read the books in order to understand what his grandchildren were involved in.

And while reading the books, it was this scene in particular that their grandfather loved the most. Believing that this is the moment where, for the first time, we truly see the twins in their own element; presenting Harry with the Mauraders Map.
Sadly their grandfather passed away before seeing the scene play out on the big screen, but Phelps is certain that it did play out exactly how his grandfather would have wanted it.
Phelps went on to explain that the scene holds even more sentimental value to him. Fans can be forgiven for not noticing the moment, but the scene in question was the very first time where George gets to use his wand. Up until then, George had never needed a wand, so it wasn’t until the third Harry Potter movie that the prop guys came along to Phelps his wand.
You can certainly understand why this scene holds so much sentimental value to the actor.
