Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is almost here and J.K. Rowling is already giving us some insight into what lies ahead after the latest installment.

With the latest installment of the Fantastic Beasts franchise just around the corner, some of our attention is shifting to what lies ahead. J.K. Rowling knows this all too well and has given a brief insight into what lies ahead for us all.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly, the creator of the Wizarding World spoke about the connection between Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts, what is like to essentially go back in time for some her characters, and what lies ahead for all of us in the future.

Not shy to answer any of the questions, but certainly making them cryptic enough that we can’t pin down any specific details, J.K. Rowling gave us what many of us wanted to hear.

"As with the Harry Potter books, it is all mapped out. It’s far too early to spoil anything. What I can say is that we’ll go to at least one new city in the next film, possibly two."

J.K. Rowling is well known for planning her stories way out in advance. Harry Potter is riddled with minor details from the very first novels, that don’t have any relevance until the final novels.

To hear that she has planned out the Fantastic Beasts story all the way through to the end is great to hear. It means we can expect some huge surprises, twists, and “slap on the forehead” moments, when details that would have popped up in the earlier movies, suddenly make sense in the final saga.

More from Harry Potter

This comes shortly after Eddie Redmayne made it known that the final chapters of the Fantatic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald script made his jaw drop, that was how surprised he was at the ending of the script.

Dan Fogler compared the movie to, The Empire Strikes Back, something that I view as the biggest compliment a movie can ever be given.

It’s all shaping up to be what was stated not so long ago. That this is the most highly anticipated fall movie and it is all down to the wonderful writing of J.K. Rowling, who has had everything mapped out and planned since the very beginning it would see.
