Mayans M.C. season 1 episode 7 preview: Old secrets threaten the club
The preview for this week’s Mayans M.C. hints at an old, buried secret of Felipe’s rearing its ugly head, as well as a possibly bad future for EZ.
Secrets never stay buried for long, especially not on Mayans M.C.
The show’s latest episode, “Cucaracha/K’uruch,” teases that hard-earned lesson with some dangerous meetings and a few ominous words from Edward James Olmos.
By now we know Felipe Reyes is not the good-natured butcher he’s painted himself to be so far. EZ and Angel’s dad was into some risky business down in Mexico, working for the government, presumably slaughtering innocents and playing the strong-arm of a corrupted machine. He’s worked hard to put the past behind him, but EZ’s case officer threw a wrench in that plan.
And now it seems like someone else is in on Felipe’s secret.
Adelita (or Louisa, because we’re still not sure of her true identity) looks to be paying a visit to Felipe in the preview for the show’s latest episode, and things definitely aren’t friendly between the pair.
Watch the preview for Mayans M.C.‘s next episode below:
We know Adelita’s family was massacred before her eyes by some bad men. Could Felipe have been one of them? She’s threatening him at gunpoint at his kitchen table of all places, so my guess is yes. Of course, there’s probably more to the story, which is why the clip ends with Felipe warning the woman that she hasn’t seen the whole picture yet.
Well, fans haven’t either, so this promo is even more confusing than helpful at this point in the series. Not only are we teased with a Felipe/Adelita showdown, EZ’s fate is also in question. Bishop can be heard asking Angel how many months EZ has left, before hinting it’s going to be a long, hard road for the prospect. Are we talking about months left in his trial period for the club? Or is EZ heading back to prison on the gang’s behalf? Either seems plausible at this point, which means that Tuesday’s episode will be explosive.
