Harry Potter reaches the top 10 in The Great American Read

Harry Potter reaches the top 10 in The Great American Read ahead of the Grand Finale on PBS. Was there any doubt it wouldn’t?
There is less than a week to go, but as things stand Harry Potter is on track to win The Great American Read. As PBS announces the series is currently sitting somewhere in the top 10, ahead of the Grand Finale, which is to take place on Oct. 23.
The Great American Read was launched in May this year and has sparked a nationwide call for people to go out and read as many books as they physically can, and vote for what they think is the number 1 book of America.

Book lovers have been their thoughts and opinions on social media and having in-depth conversations about the books they are reading and enjoying.

Over 3.8 million people have cast their votes with The Great American Read, and PBS has released the current top ten book as we reached the final week of voting.
The top ten books in The Great American Read, in alphabetical order, are:
1. Charlotte’s Web
2. Chronicles of Narnia (series)
3. Gone with the Wind
4. Harry Potter (series)
5. Jane Eyre
6. Little Women
7. Lord of the Rings (series)
8. Outlander (series)
9. Pride and Prejudice
10. To Kill a Mockingbird
That could all change come the day of the finale, however. Harry Potter, along with all the other books could be knocked out of the top ten, so if you want Harry Potter to lift The Great American PBS trophy then make sure you place your vote.
