Britney Spears and Ryan Gosling just had an adorable Mickey Mouse Club reunion
Britney Spears and Ryan Gosling have a friendship dating back to the Mickey Mouse Club, and when they recently reunited, it won an A for adorable.
Oops, Britney Spears and Ryan Gosling did it again… in the cutest way possible! When Spears and Gosling got together backstage for an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, it was time to remember their days on the All New Mickey Mouse Club series, reported E News.
During the taping of an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show that aired Friday, Gosling confessed that he couldn’t recall when he last saw Spears. He shared that the songstress had a similar memory lapse, which Gosling views as “a sign that it’s been quite a while.”
The La La Land actor and “Baby One More Time” songstress first appeared on Disney’s All New Mickey Mouse Club in 1993. Gosling and Spears aren’t the only stars to turn their appearances on the Mickey Mouse Club into a career. Christina Aguilera, Keri Russell, JC Chasez, and Justin Timberlake are famous names we recognize today who became superstars with help from Mickey.
DeGeneres shared a sweet photo of all three backstage on her Instagram — talk about a #FlashbackFriday!
Always charming, Gosling recalled his impression of Spears. The actor told DeGeneres that when Mickey Mouse Club members first arrived at the show, they performed for each other. He recalled listening to both Christina Aguilera and Spears performing.
“I remember thinking, ‘Oh, OK, so they’re like freakishly talented’,” admitted Gosling.
And although even then Gosling was accustomed to “working with talented people,” he described Spears’ singing abilities as on “another level.”
During the filming of the Disney show, all of the cast lived in Florida. Gosling described Spears as a “sweetheart.” The songstress lived just above him, and had a “girl next door” appeal, said the actor. He viewed her as “the little girl I used to play basketball and spin the bottle with.”
In turn, Spears confessed that she and Gosling used to play “Spin The Bottle” with buddies. However, she didn’t kiss the actor.
“The only person I kissed was Justin!” admitted Spears.
