Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will be the darkest movie of the series

While the Harry Potter series got progressively dark, it doesn’t seem like that’s the case for the prequel series. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is going to be the darkest movie of the five.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them may have started as a textbook in the Harry Potter series, but it’s become a series of its own. Unlike the original series, the movies aren’t going to get progressively darker by the sounds of things. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is going to be the darkest of the entire series of movies.

While at a fan event last week, Katherine Waterson (who plays Tina Goldstein) says that the movie is the darkest of the series, including the Harry Potter movies. It’s going to be extremely intense and that means there will be plenty of excitement. This isn’t just about the action scenes, but about the love scenes, which will be surprising and challenging in their development.

Dan Fogler, who plays no-maj Jacob Kowalski, shares that this is a lot like Empire Strikes Back. There are the favorite good guys but also the bad guys that will be dangerous, smart, and cunning. This is one of those sequels that leaves you begging for the next.

For those wondering, this is the connection between the Fantastic Beasts series and the Harry Potter series. This is the point that puts Albus Dumbledore on his path to take down Grindelwald and will be the one that shows some connections to the Harry Potter storyline. While some of those elements have been included in the trailer, it’s clear there are far more connections to come.
