Dame Maggie Smith back on set in her latest movie

Professor McGonagall, a.k.a Dame Maggie Smith has been back on set in her latest movie, Downtown Abbey.
Although I am sure we all wish it was Dame Maggie Smith returning to Hogwarts as professor McGonagall, knowing that she will soon be back on the big screen is equally as good. Dame Maggie Smith has been spotted on the set of her latest movie, Downtown Abbey.
The highly popular British TV series which explores the lives of the upper-class family, The Crowley’s, and those who serve them. If you have ever heard of the series, Upstairs Downstairs, it is like that but set in a completely different location and bigger house.

Anyway, Smith appeared in the series as the Dowager Countess and was one the best characters in the entire series. Her sharp wit and sass, think McGonagall times a thousand, had you falling in love with the character from the get-go.

The series ended in 2016 with it’s sixth season but has very recently been confirmed to return, but this time on the big screen. Smith was confirmed as being a returning cast member and now we have an image of her on set.
Smith is not the only Harry Potter actress to appear in the movie. Imelda Staunton, who played the evil Dolores Umbridge, has been cast. Her role has not been revealed yet, but many of us are hoping that we will once again see Dolores and McGonagall go head to head.
A release date is still to be declared.
