Prince Harry admits he gets nervous around his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth

Queen Elizabeth might be Prince Harry’s grandmother, but she is still one of the most powerful women in the world. And that means nerves, at least for him.

It turns out that even Prince Harry gets nervous around Queen Elizabeth. When you consider that she is more than just his grandmother, but also a ruling monarch who has been in power since 1952 after the death of her father, it makes sense that even Prince Harry gets a case of nerves when bumping into her.

As part of the ITV special Queen of the World, Prince Harry spoke about what it’s like to have a royally famous grandmother. His own personality shined through, including joked with the television crew who was interviewing the royal family.

As the Telegraph revealed, Prince Harry pointed out to the “hospitality professionals” that, “You guys have spent way more time in Buckingham Palace than I ever have — and you’ve only been here two weeks.” Considering Buckingham Palace is the Queen’s residence, we think maybe Prince Harry is exaggerating a bit when he says that the crew has spent more time at the palace than he ever has.

The prince asked if any crew had run into the Queen in the halls and offered a suggestion for when it happens. He suggested “if you suddenly bump into her in the corridor, don’t panic. I know you will. We all do!”

That’s right, Prince Harry says that running into the Queen is a panic-inducing moment. And considering he is related to her, one can only imagine what it would be like to run into the Queen as someone who is not a part of the family.

While the prince’s comments were likely only a small part of what he had to say about his grandmother, it seems we will have to wait for the ITV special to air before we find out what else he had to say about his dear grandmother.

Along with Prince Harry’s cameo, we’re eager to see his wife, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, as she is reunited with her wedding veil and gown as it gets ready to go on display.
