Avengers 4 reshoots may be underway, but for Evangeline Lilly her job is done. In celebration of her time on set being over, champagne was obviously necessary.
For the last two weeks, the stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been working on reshoots for Avengers 4. Along the way, different members of the MCU have posted pictures on social media, leaving breadcrumbs for fans, often hinting at who might be showing up to save the day. Now, Evangeline Lilly has shared an Instagram post that reveals that at least for her, Avengers 4 is over.
The Ant-Man and the Wasp actress revealed that she was done with reshoots on the epic conclusion to Phase 3 of the MCU. The picture attached to the message shows Lilly holding a bottle of champagne with a wide smile on her face as she proclaims, “I’m done!!!!!! I’m going home!!,” before wrapping things up with “#homesweethome.”
As CBR.com reports, as reshoots with individual actors start to wrap up, we get one step closer to Avengers 4 being complete, even if it still has no official title. Though we may not have a title or even a lot of details about the fourth Avengers movie, thanks to the stars of the film we are at least getting hints of who will appear (hopefully, alive and well).
At the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp, Evangeline Lilly’s character was turned to dust in the snap heard round the universe during the end credits scene. How her character will make it back in Avengers 4 is one of many mysteries we’re (impatiently) waiting to figure out. While we don’t know exactly how her character will be brought back or even what her role will be in taking on Thanos and reversing what he did, at least we know that the Wasp will be helping the rest of the Avengers in saving the universe.
With all of the work Evangeline Lilly has put into the MCU lately, from the long press tour for Ant-Man and the Wasp to reshoots of Avengers 4, we totally think the actress deserved to enjoy that bottle of champagne. And as more of the actors finish up their reshoots, we look forward to seeing how they celebrate the experience (more champagne would be our guess).
