Harry Potter star Rupert Grint: Potterheads are Hardcore

Rupert Grint’s time in Harry Potter may be over but he still loves the fandom, referencing to how Hardcore Potterheads are.

No longer the floppy-haired Ronald Weasley, Rupert Grint is currently promoting the second season of his current TV series Snatch. However, despite moving on from the Wizarding World, that hasn’t stopped him from enjoying the Harry Potter fandom. Not that he has much chance of that considering how Hardcore Potterheads are.

Based on the Guy Ritchie film of the same name. Rupert Grint was discussing the Sony Crackle TV series in Spain with Metro. Naturally, you can’t talk to one of the Golden Trio without bringing up their time in the franchise and soon the conversation turned to Harry Potter.

Explaining that Potterheads are everywhere, he talked about the difference he has found in the fandom between Britain and Spain.

"‘Fans are different in every country, but here they’re quite hardcore,’‘They’re very emotional and it’s quite sweet. In London they just want a picture and then they’re gone but here [in Spain] it’s interesting.’‘They want a conversation and a bit of a chat.’"

In Grint’s current role, he plays the character of Charlie Cavendish. Focused around a group of young hustlers who come across some stolen gold bullion. Their actions send them into the world of organized crime. A world that they attempt to navigate their way through amongst all the other criminals, crooked cops, etc.

Starring alongside Luke Pasqualino and Dougray Scott, the series is about to launch it’s second season which has been scheduled to premiere on October 9, at 9 pm EST on AMC.
