More from Harry Potter

We haven’t seen Watson on the big screen now since her roles in 2017, The Circle and Beauty and the Beasts so will this come as great news for fans of the Harry Potter star.

Who Watson will be playing in the Little Woman remake exactly is unclear as roles are still being worked out, but she will be joining the likes of Meryl Streep, Saoirse Ronan, Timothee Chalamet, Laura Dern and Flaroence Pugh.

Based on the novel by Louisa May Alcott, the tale follows the March sisters; set during the Civil War-era America, this will not be the first time the tale has been adapted for film and television.

Further details are pretty sparse at the moment as everything about Little Woman is still in the early stages; no doubt once all the finer details have been worked out announcements will start to be made. Either way, for Harry Potter fans, this news alone is great to have.
