Cardi B surprises fans with comeback performance during Migos’ New York show

Cardi B hasn’t performed on stage since the birth of her daughter in July, but on August 25 she shocked fans at a Migos’ concert with a surprise performance.

Although Cardi B may have opened up the MTV Video Music Awards, the Bodak Yellow rapper wasn’t there to perform (which came as a shock to some fans). In fact, she technically isn’t scheduled to make her official return to the stage until September 29. However, that didn’t stop Cardi B from making a surprise appearance on stage at Migos’ New York concert on August 25.

While the rapper may have been a special guest of the group, she did do a Motorsport verse, according to Rolling Stone. As the outlet reported, this was the first performance from Cardi B since she gave birth in July. It marked her return to the concert circuit, even if it was a surprise performance a month ahead of her official comeback.

Fans of the rapper were certainly excited for her return, even if it was just for a single verse before hugging her husband Offset and then leaving the stage. In fact, it seems like even Cardi B had some thoughts on her return, as she tweeted about feeling nervous over the surprise appearance.

Even if the rapper was nervous, she had nothing to worry about as she not only made a triumphant, if short, return to the stage but also managed to trend on social media. Fans were clearly excited to see her perform once again, although Cardi is still taking her time returning to the concert circuit.

While she might make more surprise appearances, her next official performance is scheduled for the Global Citizen Festival in New York. She is also scheduled for a show in October, the Mala Luna Festival in San Antonio. Beyond that, we are not sure what the rapper has lined up for her fans.

As a new mom, it makes sense that Cardi B’s performance schedule is not nearly as packed as it was prior to having her daughter, Kulture. And considering she dropped out of Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic tour in order to be with her child, any appearances are exciting for her fans.

Not only did the rapper prove that motherhood hasn’t changed her at all, but she also showed fans that she is more than willing to show them some love too.

We are certainly happy to see Cardi B back on stage, and can’t wait for her to announce more concerts and performances. For now, at least we have two scheduled shows to look forward to in September and October.
