How to become a Prefect in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery

You can now become a Prefect in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery and here is how you can do it and gain the right to use the Prefect bathroom.

Jam City is not holding back on releasing new content for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery and the latest content added to the mobile game allows players to become House Prefects.

Jam City initially only released the Prefect content to a small group of players. Probably to find out how people took to it. Naturally, everyone got excited and it wasn’t long before the developers thought; “Yup, need to roll this out to everyone.”

So it should be available to you know.

To become a Prefect, all you need to do is complete the side quest. You will need to speak to your Head of House to get the ball rolling.

The quest itself contains four parts. Each part differs from the last and once completed you will not only gain rewards like coins and gems but you will also gain your Prefect badge as well.

You are on a time limit, however. You have a total of three days to complete all of the tasks set before you so make you don’t go at a snail’s pace. If you are worried about getting slowed down due to the energy crisis then don’t panic, while it will drain your energy to complete the tests, it does not cost as much as normal.

Once you have completed all of the tasks you will have your nice new shiny Prefect badge, some coins, and some gems as well. However, you need to be aware that Prefects are technically year 5 at Hogwarts. So while you may have earned your Prefect badge now, you technically have to wait until Year 5 is here to be a proper Prefect.

It shouldn’t be too long now until the fifth year is added, going off how often Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery releases the next year.
