Former President Barack and First Lady Michelle Obama rock out at Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s concert

Former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama were seen enjoying their post-White House life dancing at a Beyoncé concert Saturday.

Leaving the White House hasn’t halted the spotlight for former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle. The limelight on the couple turned into a pleasant surprise for fans of the Obamas and Beyoncé over the weekend.

On Saturday evening, Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s On The Run II tour lit up FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland. The concert venue, located close to Washington, D.C., lured fans who just happened to include Michelle and Barack Obama.

The couple was spotted happily rocking out (in box seats, of course), marking another milestone in their history with Beyoncé. Michelle was seen jamming at a Queen Bey concert in Paris previously in July. Her dance partner: Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles Lawson.

Twitter lit up, making the intersection of Beyhive fans with Obama fans beyond-buzzy.

Amid the OMG excitement from fans at the concert (and those who envied those members of the Beyhive/Obama fan club who got up close to the thrilling scenario), one summed it up as an “irreplaceable moment in your life if you’re there experiencing this moment in time with The Obamas.”

In addition to Michelle and Barack sightings at Queen Bey’s concerts, Beyoncé has made it clear that the fan club is mutual. She provided one of the highlights for President Obama’s 2009 inauguration ball. Then in 2013, Queen Bey crooned the national anthem at Obama’s second inauguration.

During her Presidential husband’s time in the White House, the former First Lady took on the obesity crisis in the nation with her “Let’s Move” campaign. Beyoncé was among the stars who stepped up and got involved in Michelle’s anti-obesity efforts.

And there’s one more member of the mutual admiration society formed by Michelle, Barack, and Beyoncé. The Obamas’ daughter Sasha was also spotted at the Paris concert with her mom.
