Lindsay Lohan is headed back to the spotlight with a new MTV reality series set in Greece.
It’s no surprise that Lindsay Lohan is ready to give another comeback a shot. The Mean Girls star has signed on to let MTV follow her around on her Greece adventure.
Lohan has been off in Mykonos, Greece, living her best life. Literally, she moved across the world to change the reputation she had growing up in the light of the Hollywood scene. Since moving to Greece, and according to her Instagram, she’s had quite the love life and has left the acting world to become an entrepreneur.
In the new, unscripted reality series titled Lohan Beach Club, viewers will follow Lohan tackling the club scene. But this isn’t what you might think it is, which is probably the thought of seeing Lohan as the “it” party girl of Mykonos. The show is all about the launch of the Lohan Beach House, as teased by Lohan herself in the first promo posted to the show’s Instagram feed.
The Lohan Beach House is the third business venture for Lohan. She has opened Lohan Nightclub in Athens, Greece, and the Lohan Beach House Rhodes in Rhodes, Greece. With this third addition, she is truly taking her Lohan-branded business to heights in the restaurant and hotel industry.
Nina Diaz, President of Programming and Development for MTV released the following statement on Lohan’s new show:
"Lohan Beach Club (WT) offers viewers VIP access to one of the most exclusive destinations in the world, and a behind the scenes look at how a young, successful entrepreneur runs her empire. We are thrilled to have such a passionate and creative partner in Lindsay to help explore this intriguing culture, all through the eyes of her brand."
Lohan’s business has already done well since its opening in May of this year. The resort has been getting its fair share of publicity prior to the news of the reality series. Tiffany Trump has stopped by, as well as rapper Tyga. With the headlines they drew, it’s no doubt that MTV had to jump in. Plus this isn’t Lohan’s first stint with reality television, having starred in OWN’s 2015 docuseries Lindsay that followed her post-rehab recovery. In 2008, she and mother Dina and sister Ali were the focus of an E! series titled Living Lohan.
The real question remains: Who will we get to see coming through her club when the cameras are rolling?
So there you have it folks. Lindsay Lohan is no longer a former child star. She’s officially an entrepreneur, something we never thought we’d see from that little girl of Parent Trap fame.
