In Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, we get a clearer picture of Donna’s journey to Greece, and the three potential fathers to her daughter Sophie. After visiting Paris and sticking around too long with suitor #1 (Harry), Donna misses her boat to Kalokairi. Accidental suitor #2, Bill, is there with a boat to sweep her away and literally off of her feet. What we find out is that Harry, who lost his virginity to Donna, had followed her from Paris. Unlucky for him, he gets to the dock in time to see her sailing away with Bill.
Along the way, the two sing and dance (surprise!); they pick up a stranded fisherman; and they add to the mystery that becomes: “Who is Sophie’s father?”
Sweet ’70s style involved a lot of ruffles and fringe. Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again certainly incorporated a lot of the former. Here we’ve found a piece, from a former Reformation designer, that combines the two. We’d love to let it blow in the sea breeze… on a boat.
