After its huge success in London’s West End and now New York’s Broadway, it’s time for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to move to new locations. Australia is already one place, but now the U.S. West Coast will finally get a look-in. Here are all the details you need about the production’s move.

This will be the fourth production of the play, with the West End, Broadway, and Melbourne being the first three. Minimal details have been shared yet, especially where casting and production are concerned, but we at least have a date and time.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child moves to San Francisco

The Curran Theatre is the place for the Harry Potter continuation. This is in the heart of the Bay Area in San Francisco, a place that many have wanted the production to come to since it first proved to be a success in London.

It was first opened in 1922 and quickly became a focal point for the theater district. This is in the perfect location for the play, which is split in two parts with a long break in between halves so you can grab dinner and drinks.

You’ll need to wait until next year

The downside is the wait. The Cursed Child isn’t moving to San Francisco until February 2019. With production details, casting information, and tickets not available yet, you can’t even book ahead or get the exact dates the show will move.

It’s also not clear what this means for the Broadway production. This will depend on the casting choices. London’s West End performers moved with the production to star on Broadway, so could move again for this one.
