Kingdom Hearts III: 5 worlds we’d like to see in the finished game

Now that E3 has revealed a few more details about Kingdom Hearts III, it’s time to reveal our wishlist for Disney properties that should make an appearance.

Kingdom Hearts III may have had more trailers than Fallout 76 did at E3 this year. From a confirmation of its release date to appearances at multiple conferences, the game also had a few surprises confirmed, including a world based on Frozen.

But we all know that there are probably more worlds in store for the game when it drops in January 2019. Besides, there are a lot of Disney properties still out there that could earn some representation.

What could we see in the game? Featuring a mix of returning worlds and some new ideas, here are the 5 worlds we’d like to see most in Kingdom Hearts III.

The Princess and the Frog

Sure, Kingdom Hearts III might seem a little princess-heavy, with two of the new worlds featuring Frozen and Tangled. But of all the Disney princess films, The Princess and the Frog might just have the most unique aesthetic of all, since it’s set in 1920s New Orleans. Think of all the fun the music department could have with the jazz and gospel of the soundtrack, and Dr. Facilier could make for a powerful magical foe.

Beast’s Castle (Beauty and the Beast)

With the Beauty and the Beast live-action remake coming out during Kingdom Hearts III‘s development time, it seems pretty likely that a redesigned or updated version of the world we first saw in Kingdom Hearts II could make an appearance. Whether or not it’ll keep the animated aesthetic or try and mimic the even grander opulence of the live-action version remains to be seen, but hey, we know that systems like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One can deliver a lot of graphical performance.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe

Disney owns Pixar, and that’s why we’ll play in worlds based on Toy Story and Monsters, Inc.

This one might seem like a big stretch, but it’s not like Kingdom Hearts as a franchise doesn’t do live-action worlds. It does, actually, and Pirates of the Caribbean is back for this outing. Granted, this might have just a bit too much overlap with Big Hero 6, which IGN reports is set to make an appearance as well, but hey, Square Enix is also working on something going by The Avengers Project, so there’s definitely an opening here.

Besides, who says that Avengers: Infinity War can’t affect the world of Kingdom Hearts, too?

The Land of Dragons (Mulan)

Also on our list of worlds, we’d like to see make a comeback is Mulan‘s Land of Dragons. While we don’t think the game would be able to give away too much about any changes to the plot made in the live-action remake on its way, it’d still be nice to see another Kingdom Hearts II world get an update. Besides, who wouldn’t like to see Mushu, Shang, and Mulan herself again?

The Muppets

Can you just imagine Miss Piggy as a party member?

Go on. Just let that sink in.

Miss Piggy, saving Kermit, and making sure Sora, Goofy, and Donald all know who’s boss. Because she is the boss.

Come on, wouldn’t that be the most ridiculous crossover you can think of? About the only, more ridiculous one would be Star Wars, and we’re not sure Star Wars can come up with an in-universe reason to justify the wildness that is Kingdom Hearts being canon to its galaxy, too.
