Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery Year 4 has finally been added. What can you expect with the latest Jam City update? What’s been added to the map and school classes?

We’ve waited months, but we can finally progress to Year 4 in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. The mobile game updated a couple of days ago and now many Potterheads are making their way through their fourth year, exploring new parts of the school, and learning all about the Care of Magical Creatures.

Here’s everything that you can expect with the latest update.

Adopting pets still not available

Jam City has been promising the ability to adopt pets for a while now, and there was some hope that would come with the fourth year update. Unfortunately, that’s not happened yet. Maybe the next upgrade will bring this in.

Relationships may be available in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery Year 4. We’ve not moved forward enough to find out if this is the case yet. It’s an update Jam City previously promised.

You can make a new friend in the game. Charlie Weasley is now available to chat to and he could help you in a few situations.

Fixing some of the plotholes

There have been a number of bugs in the game. One of those was when a character was out of commission, such as in the hospital, they would still appear in other parts of the school. They were still available for friend encounters, which made things very tricky and weird. Well, that plothole bug has been fixed.

One that hasn’t is a graduated student hanging around the halls. We know Hogwarts is cool, but surely nobody wants to stick around forever, right? It does suggest that this may not be a plothole and more of setting up everything for a future story…we could just be wildly speculating there, though. Remember Year 4 was the year Cedric Digory died. Would Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery follow suit for Year 4?
