Tony Awards 2018: Complete list of winners

The 2018 Tony Awards celebrated the best of theater in New York City. This year’s winners may not be on the tip of your tongue but they left an impression.

The 2018 Tony Awards brought together the New York theater community. With Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles hosting this year’s award ceremony, the upbeat, well-run production didn’t have too many hiccups. While many big name, popular productions were nominated, the poignant, more impactful pieces of theater won the awards.

While not necessarily a surprise, but somewhat telling of today’s violate atmosphere, the most winning production wasn’t the biggest show on Broadway. The shows with the star power, name recognition and panache didn’t walk away with the statues. Instead, the musical with the story that maybe the home television had never heard of, was all over the award show broadcast.
