It was only a matter of time before the characters and settings from Solo: A Star Wars story made their way to Battlefront II.
Put down your controllers for Fortnite and get ready to dust off Star Wars Battlefront II (metaphorically that is — unless you own a physical copy) to experience some new content! The Han Solo Season pack is coming to Battlefront II, and not too long after the release of Solo.
Even though Solo has received mixed reviews (much like Battlefront II itself) and struggling box office returns, hopefully the new content will still make the gameplay enjoyable.
Part of the new content, to be released June 12, includes several new characters to play: Alden Ehrenreich’s young Han, Chewie, Donald Glover’s young Lando, and… the Boushh-disguised Princess Leia. Yes, because when I think of Solo, I think of Princess Leia fooling Jabba the Hutt.
That might be why (while a bit of a stretch) the pack also includes Jabba’s Palace as one of the new maps. More fittingly, we also get the Coaxium mine as a new location.
Additionally, there’ll be three new modes: hero showdown, extraction, and starfighter arcade. And that sweet, new Lando-era Millenial Falcon will also be available to fly. (It still looks weird with the escape pod attached to the front.)
But let’s go back to the new characters. Han? Check. Lando? Check. Chewie? Check. Qi’ra? Oops, there’s no Qi’ra.
It’s not that we don’t love having another iteration of Leia in the game, but if Battlefront‘s going to release a Solo-themed pack, it may as well include Qi’ra.
Emilia Clarke had quite the prominent role in Solo as the character, and she had a lot of great moments in the movie that would have translated well into the video game world. That’s definitely a missed opportunity on Battlefront’s part.

Perhaps EA will be feeling generous in the future and could give us that Qi’ra update. While we’re at it, may we request Val to be added, too? Who would you like to see from Solo make it into Battlefront II?
