There’s good news for those who worried about the loss of Harry Potter from HBO. SYFY has now officially picked up the licensing for the movies and all eight are flying your way for a Wizarding Weekend special.

Block out the whole weekend from Friday, July 13. It may be an unlucky day for many, but it’s a lucky day for Potterheads. Harry Potter movies –yes, all eight of them—are flying their way to SYFY and USA for the entire wizarding weekend. It is a long weekend, but fortunately, the kids are off school to enjoy. You’ll likely want to take the Friday and Monday off work to celebrate and binge.

SYFY and USA Network even promise to offer limited interruptions from the commercials throughout the movies. There will also be fan testimonials about the franchise, with Potterheads sharing why the story about the Boy Who Lived and the Second Wizarding War are so important.

More from Harry Potter

It all kicks off on July 13 at 8/7c with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (the American name officially given to the Philosopher’s Stone, although we are all trying to move back to the British name). The movies will then air in order until Harry Potter and the Death Hallows on July 15 starting at 5:15/4:15c. If you can’t quite sit through it all on Sunday or you really want a second viewing, there’s an encore of the last two movies on the Monday at 2/1c.

Stay tuned on SYFY if you’re a Wynonna Earp fan, as there’s a Season 3 premiere sneak peak afterward.

There’s no mention yet of what happens after this or how the movies will be available digitally. That’s something we’ll have to wait and see about for now.
