Evanna Lynch is on the campaign trail, this time on Butterbeer!

Evanna Lynch is no stranger to animal rights campaigns and this time she is turning her attention to that Harry Potter inspired drink, Butterbeer!

Evanna Lynch has been on the campaign trail for many worthy causes. Her work with PETA, on showing the effects of cosmetic testing on animals, by using herself as a human guinea pig was extraordinary. She also recently brought attention to the mistreatment of Elephants in India.

Now, Lynch is once again turning her attention to another cause, the campaign to make the famous Harry Potter Butterbeer drink, Vegan-friendly.

If you have sampled the sweet taste of Butterbeer then you probably know what it is made of. If you haven’t, the drink, which is available at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme parks, are topped with whipped cream.

That cream comes from a cow and it is the cream that The Protego Foundation, a Harry Potter inspired group, is campaigning to have replaced with a plant-based alternative. Lynch and fellow Harry Potter star Robbie Jarvis are supporting the foundation in their efforts.

Curiously, you would think this would be something that could easily be resolved; however, it looks like the power of licensing has no limits as it appears the agreement by Warner Bros, the Harry Potter franchise owner, is the main barrier.

With the license agreement in place, no alterations to the drink can be made.
