What if Harry Potter ended up having the same life as Sirius Black? How different would he be?

The Harry Potter series is so beloved that sometimes, we want to think of different ways to relate back to it. Whether it is to fall in love with Harry and his friends again or go back to the story and revisit it in a different light, we just want everything Harry Potter in our lives.

So what if Harry ended up living the same life as his adoptive father? Sirius Black, a character who ended up living alone for most of his life, seemingly had a good life in the end. He had Harry, his friends, and while he still wasn’t free, at least he had those close to him that he cared about.

To an extent, Harry is kind of living the same life. When we see Harry in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, he is working with his best friend, who is married to his other best friend, and all their kids are related.

While Sirius Black never had children of his own, his weird friendship group extended and gave him a family that he had lost. Between Lupin and James, he ended up being a loved man despite his parents abandoning him. So while it is fun to think about ‘what if Harry’s life ended up like Sirius Black’s’, it kind of did.

Harry had no family left. He didn’t speak to his aunt and uncle and most those who helped raise him in Hogwarts had died.

He made a family all his own, just like Sirius Black did, and even though Sirius is dead, that little bit of information is nice to think about. He still remembers his godfather, even if Harry isn’t recognizing it.

Sirius Black and Harry Potter aren’t that different and honestly, that’s okay.
