Meghan Markle makes her debut as the Duchess of Sussex, and it’s a role she wears well

Meghan Markle is out here to prove that the Duchess life was always the life she was destined for.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have stepped out for their first official appearance as not only a married couple but as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
The two attended Prince Charles’ 70th birthday patronage celebration on Tuesday. Harry wore a classic black suit while his bride opted for a blush-and-taupe silk dress by Goat. Meghan completed her look with a custom hat by Philip Treacy and Tamara Mellon pumps — because the Duchess sure can pull off that hat look.

The two couldn’t look more in love. They adorably held onto each other while happily greeting Charles’ patronages, military affiliations and members of charities at the garden party at Buckingham Palace. Harry also gave a speech in which he honored his father’s dedication to society.

“It has certainly inspired William and I to get involved in issues we care passionately about and to do whatever we can to make a difference,” Harry said.
While giving the speech, a bee just happened to make an appearance as well. Harry managed to make it through, laughing off the buzzy incident.

Meghan took a moment to explain to his Charles and Duchess Camilla what had just happened. Looks like she’s already comfortable sharing laughs with them. Good for her!
