Maleficent 2 is happening and has bagged a Fantastic Beasts star

A sequel to the highly praised Disney live-action based on the Sleeping Beauty’s Maleficent is officially happening, with Fantastic Beasts star Jenn Murray.
In case you missed it, Maleficent 2 is officially happening. Jenn Murray of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is joining the cast for the movie, although her role is currently unknown. In fact, very little about the movie is currently known.
Angelina Jolie will reprise her role as Maleficent, with Elle Fanning back as Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty). Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Ed Skrein will also appear in the movie, also with unknown roles. It’s also not clear just how far into the future of the story the sequel will take place.

Murray is currently filming the movie with the rest of the cast, according to her profile on IMDb. There is no current date set for the release.
Murray’s character, Chastity Barebone, was killed in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. She had been in the Second Salem Church when her adoptive brother Credence destroyed the church through an Obscurus. This occurred because Credence had been forced to repress his magic, due to his mother’s and Chastity’s views against witchcraft.

More about Chastity was released in the video short of the Barebone Family shortly after the release of the first movie. Murray reprised her role for that video short.
