7 of the funniest Pikachu clips to watch to prepare for the Pikachu Outbreak festival

The Pikachu Outbreak festival in Yokohama, Japan, sees a descent of hundreds of Pikachu into the town. Prep for the big festival by watching some of the best inflatable Pikachu clips.

Every year, hundreds of inflatable Pikachu find their way to the town of Yokohama in Japan for Pikachu Outbreak. For 2018’s festivities in August, a reported 1,500 Pikachu will paint the town yellow for the spectacular celebration.

The festival sports several parades, with tons of Pikachu on land, sea and air. If you’re excited for the festival, or just can’t make it, we have a few Pikachu clips to help you imagine what to expect in Yokohama this August.

1. Cute Pikachu dancing in harmony

If an inflatable Pikachu is cute, but what about a dance troop full of inflatable Pikachu? Look at how well they dance in sync to Flo Rida’s “I Don’t Like It, I Love It.” Plus, look at the little wave they do at the end. I won’t tell you how many times I’ve watched this on repeat.

2. Pikachu has fallen down

Not everything can run smoothly when you’re in a large inflatable suit. You have to prepare for the worst sometimes. And sometimes the worst is falling over in front of a large crowd with cameras at the ready. You have to admit, though, it is pretty funny.

3. Race to save the Pikachu

Speaking of preparing for the worst, watch as this team rushes to save a deflating Pikachu. Watch how quickly the team responds when the lead Pikachu slowly begins to look like a popped balloon. Did they really need that many people to rush onto the field? Don’t forget to skip to 4:35 when that sad Pikachu tries to make a return after it’s fixed, but starts deflating all over again.

4. Pikachu the Rapper

Not only can all Pikachu dance, but they’re great rappers, too. Aren’t they cool?  These Pikachu know what the rap scene is all about, and they probably don’t even need SoundCloud to promote their mixtape. They’d probably give Kanye West a run for his money, too.

5. Public transportation Pikachu

Sometimes those subway turnstiles can get a little narrow. But just imagine being a giant Pikachu trying to catch the train while slipping through these narrow things. We really hope they all caught their trains in time!

6. AirPika

The only airline I’d trust 100 percent is one that had a Pikachu pilot. I know there are actual Pokémon that can fly, but there’s just something about seeing Pikachu in a pilot’s costume that really says “You can trust me to fly you to your destination safely.” And even if Pikachu can’t talk (except for that one weird time), I know that’s what they’d say.

7. Imperial Pikachu March

As cute as these Pikachu might seem, they’re actually quite menacing. Look at those deadly little hands. They probably know how to use the Force just as well as Darth Vader himself. You better watch out if you see this group marching down the street.
