Perfect cocktails and snacks for your next Real Housewives binge-watching party
For Real Housewives’ fans, proper snacks and drinks are required for binge-watching or catching up on the latest episode. Rosé, anyone?
Whether you’re a fan of the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills or a follower of the Real Housewives Of New York City, you know the right beverage and food can make viewing even more, well, tasty. You could be watching the latest reunion show with friends or enjoying a binge-watching party of one. Either way, best to be prepared because some drama may cause stress-eating.
Hop on the Bravo bandwagon and see if you agree with our journey from city to city as we match cocktails and crudities with their appropriate Real Housewives groups!
Just as Sex And The City is forever linked to Cosmopolitans (“I’d like a cheeseburger, please, large fries and a Cosmopolitan?”), Bravo’s shows have become associated with various beverages. Who can forget the women of RHONY indulging in their thirst-inducing Tequila-thon? And it’s impossible to ignore the Real Housewives Of Orange County (RHOC) holding their oranges. (Yes, we know, Shannon Beador, that you prefer lemons, as in your tagline of “When life gives you lemons, put nine in a bowl”).
See if you agree with these conscious couplings of Real Housewives cities as represented by booze and nibbles.

For RHONY, choosing matching drinks and delicacies is tricky. Do you favor Bethenny Frankel, Skinnygirl cocktail creator? A Skinnygirl Margarita would make the perfect match for a calorie-conscious dish of fresh fruit (lots of apples to honor the Big Apple, please) or a homemade dish of sugar-free sorbet.
An alternative: Pay respect to Sonja Morgan’s toaster oven (we’ll never forget, Sonja). Serve tiny toast circles topped with cheese. For your inner Ramona Singer, bring out those bottles of Pinot Grigio (but not too much, or binge-watching time will turn into Turtle Time).

Oh RHOC, how to cherish your never-ending whine (er, we mean wine) and cheese parties? We might go with a Fuzzy Navel, extra heavy on the orange juice, or possibly choose a simple Screwdriver. Feeling like keeping it simple and classy? Opt for a glass of champs, which we all know OC’s Heather Dubrow is a fan of.

The ultimate Real Housewives star who knows the difference between box wine and Brut Rosé champagne, RHOBH diva Lisa Vanderpump once shared her favorite drink. It’s a Pink Fizz made with (wait for it…) LVP Pink Sangria. To serve with your sangria, consider tapas, whether simple and salty (olives and cheese) or seductively sweet (Tarta de Santiago).

For something truly Gone With The Wind fabulous in Real Housewives history, RHOP star Charrisse Jackson Jordan’s customized champagne room has to win. Serve up the best champagne you can afford as you watch RHOP. Then save money if you need to on the accompanying nibbles, such as almonds and pecans.
Real Housewives of Dallas
Two words: Jesus Juice. RHOD star Brandi Redmond explained to viewers that because “Jesus turned water into wine,” she refers to alcohol as “Jesus Juice.” As for what to serve, let them eat cake. Although we recommend not following Brandi’s lead here in referring to chocolate cake as “poop pie.” In sympathy with Cary, who messed up in Mark Deuber’s eyes when she purchased vanilla rather than chocolate cake, make it vanilla cake.

RHOA ranked number one when Reddit debated the question of how to compare Bravo reality TV shows to booze: “RHOA is definitely Hennessy,” wrote one Reddit user. Another pointed out that to do true justice to the Real Housewives Of Atlanta, that beverage should be served in a red Solo cup (lift it up). Pizza is the perfect accompaniment, in memory of the time that the RHOA cast nibbled on Neopolitan pizza at Fritti.
(Secondary idea: Mexican food and margaritas to pay tribute to NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak-Biermann’s past friendship. Load on the queso, please!)
Real Housewives of New Jersey
When it comes to Jersey, Italian food better be on the table! Take a page out of Teresa Giudice’s many, many, many cookbooks and serve some delicious pasta and don’t skimp on the meatballs! Want to keep the calories down and stay a Skinny Italian? We know our Real Housewives Of New Jersey enjoy red wine alongside some perfectly cut prosciutto and cheese.
