No Harry Potter fan wants to miss out on the U.S. Quidditch Cup 11 this weekend in Texas. Can Texas Cavalry keep hold of the cup?
The U.S. Quidditch Cup 11 is taking place this weekend and there’s going to be a twist. For the first time ever, the game is being held in two divisions: a community and a college division. Texas Cavalry remains the favorite for the community division, likely keeping hold of the cup they won last year. As for the college division, last year’s silver medallist, Texas State, is the favorite.
The regional championships have already taken place. 24 community teams and 64 college teams faced off against each other between October and March. Now they’re heading to the finals.
This tournament takes place from April 14 to April 15, and will be held at Round Rock, Texas.

How will the weekend be set up?
Day One of the community division will see pools of six going up against each other. In Day Two, the teams will face elimination rounds until the winner is crowned.
The college division is going to be slightly different, opting for four sets of 16 facing against each other before they move onto a 44-team elimination round.
While the two Texas teams may be the favorites, the other teams are set to make it as difficult for them as possible. BosNYan Bearsharks are fan favorites, while the University of Maryland and QX Boston promise to give the teams runs for their money.
