Jeffrey Dean Morgan reveals he did something pretty amazing in the delivery room for both his children.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan as a human being is pretty hard not to adore. Sure, he plays the horribly terrifying Negan on The Walking Dead. But in real life, he’s the sweetest husband and a loving dad.

Morgan, 52, and wife Hilarie Burton, 35, have two children together — their son Augustus, 8, and their newborn daughter, George Virginia. Augustus and George are lucky to have such talented parents. But they are especially lucky for their dad as he literally brought them into this world.

While on The Howard Stern Show, Morgan revealed that he did something incredible when his wife was in labor.

“I delivered the children,” the Walking Dead star told Stern. “We went to a hospital to do it in case something were to go awry.”

Thankfully nothing went wrong, except for, well, the shape of his son’s head.

"I had no idea. I thought I was just there to lend support, hold a leg and then we had a midwife and as soon as the baby started crowning, they kind just pushed me in there. The first one, Gus, I kind of waited too long to pull him out and he came out and his head was shaped like a cone. He got stuck in that no man’s land a little bit too long."

The dad of two kept this in mind for next time with his daughter, George.

“I was ready and as soon as she crowned, I grabbed her a little by the cheeks and pulled her out,” Morgan said.

Despite how incredible these experiences were, Morgan says his delivering days are done.

“We’re tapping out,” he shared. “Two is perfect — a boy and a girl. We tried for, since Gus was born, to have another and hit a rough go trying to… lost a couple. It was an emotional ride. So, now we have our little girl. We’re done.”

Morgan’s wife Hilarie recently opened up about the couple’s miscarriage troubles following the birth of their daughter.

Along with an adorable Instagram collage of their “miracle baby,” Burton shared this touching story:

"It took a long time for Jeffrey and I to have this baby. The first time I got pregnant, it took a year and a half. I surprised him on Christmas with baby Seahawk booties. We cried. We celebrated. We picked out names. And we lost that baby. More losses followed, and as so many couples know, it was heartbreaking. It still is heartbreaking…  Fertility is a fickle thing. And for the other couples out there who have had dark days, we want to introduce our miracle baby to you and send you our love and support in finding yours."

Both George, or as her parents affectionately call her Georgie, and Augustus have a lot to look up to from both parents.

Congrats again to Morgan and Burton on their new baby. We can’t wait to see how these two grow up, especially with such cool and loving parents.
