With Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery only weeks away from release, here is everything you need to know about the Wizarding World game.

I am calling it right now. Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is going to be more popular than Pokemon Go. The game is only weeks away from release and the hype and suspense is already bigger than the Niantic mobile game.

With the release date coming up so soon, let’s quickly run through the game to make sure you know what to expect and what all the fuss is about.

When is Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery set for release?

Getting the biggest, and probably the most important question out of the way first, when is Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery set for release?

Well, the great news is we have an official release date of April 25 set. So in just a few short weeks, you will be able to play this game.

Who is behind it all?

So the masters behind this are Jam City, Inc, Warner Bros. and Portkey Games. Jam City, Inc are the developers while Portkey Games are the publishers, a label which has been established Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

What is Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery all about?

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is a role-playing video game or RPG. Based on the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling it allows players to create and customize their own avatar and attend Hogwarts. Players can attend classes, duel their arch nemesis and take on magical quests, It is, the game, all of us Muggles who never received their Hogwarts acceptance letter have been waiting for.

One of the best things about the game is depending on the decisions you make will impact how the actual gameplay is played out. Simply put, not everyone is going to have the same game experience because we will not all make the same decisions. Making it a much more unique experience compared to other mobile games.

Is it available on both Android on iOS?

Yes, the game will be available on both operating systems. You can pre-register for the game right now allowing you to be notified as soon as the game is available.

Do we have any game footage?

Promotional releases have been coming out thick and fast in the run-up to the RPG’s release. Ranging from player game footage, promotional images and trailers.

In January 2018, Jam City released the first official announcement trailer:

Two months later in March 2018, we got a more detailed look at Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery with the first official teaser trailer.

Lucky fans who attended ‘A Celebration of Harry Potte 2018’ got the chance to play the mobile game. Jam City put together this video showing actual game footage and fans reactions to the game.

Both a Young Tonks and Baby Fang have been confirmed as features of the game. Both are much younger and not the characters we remember from the books/movies. Tonks is a student herself and Fang is an adorable puppy.

Warwick Davis, Dame Maggie Smith and Michael Gambon have all returned to reprise their roles as Professor Flitwick, Professor McGonagall and Professor Dumbledore. Each iconic voice will feature in the game making it feel like you are being taught by the actual professors themselves.
