Harry Potter April Fools pranks where everywhere yesterday but Glasgow University had the best of them all!
Another April Fools day has been and gone. Plenty of pranks were played all across the world in all shapes and sizes. We had a very own one here but it was nothing compared to Harry Potter April Fools prank that Glasgow University pulled.
Making an announcement via video, Glasgow University put out the message that the most popular game in the magical world, Quidditch, had made it into the European Championships.
More from Harry Potter

- Create a magical event worthy of Hogwarts with this new Harry Potter-themed party planning book
- Can Fantastic Beasts hold up to the Harry Potter franchise?

The European Championships are actually coming to Glasgow in August this year, making the prank just that much funnier. With Quidditch itself a recognized sport that is growing rapidly in popularity you could be forgiven for believing this might be legit.
Of course, it wasn’t, it was nothing more than an April Fools joke that was very, very well done. Hats off to everyone who got involved in pulling off this prank.
