Black Lightning episode 11 preview: Black Jesus: The Book of Crucifixion
By Buckie Wells
As Black Lightning nears its season finale, check out a preview for the new episode airing on Tuesday night, “Black Jesus: The Book of Crucifixion.”
After all the conflict we’ve been through in the first ten episodes, last week’s episode gave us a moment to catch our breaths. Although it was a brief moment, at least Gambi and Jefferson appear to be on the same side again. More importantly, the family continues to work as a unit, no matter how hard everything in Freeland seems to be.
Every day, Freeland becomes more and more dangerous. Unlike other superhero shows that see our superheroes defeat the bad guys pretty quickly, Black Lightning set up three different factions and is letting them simmer in the background. More importantly, they all appear to be worthy opponents. And since it looks like the ASA pieced together who the real Black Lightning is, it’s only going to get more complicated from here.
If you’re wondering what’s coming up in the next episode, check out the synopsis from TV Guide:
"As suspicions grow that Jefferson Pierce is Black Lightning, the ASA arranges to have him arrested. Lynn seeks help from Detecitve [sic] Henderson. Meanwhile, as Jefferson is in custody, Gambi and Anissa work together to show Black Lightning is still running around the streets of Freeland."
Ultimately, Jennifer will most likely join her family’s cause. But in the meantime, it’s up to Gambi and Anissa to run interference. From the extended promo below, it looks like they’ll be using some pretty cool technology to keep Freeland in line, too.
