Just when you thought the world had finally “let it go,” Frozen is back and ready to dominate again! This time, it’s heading to Broadway, and it looks like Disney has another hit on its hands.

After the massive success of Disney’s animated movie-musical Frozen back in 2013, a Broadway musical seemed like the natural path for the franchise. Fast forward a few years, and Frozen The Musical is finally heading the great white way!

Frozen The Musical is celebrating its official opening on Thursday night, March 22, at the St. James Theatre in New York City. For those of us not lucky enough to catch the show just yet, we can at least enjoy the newly released trailer.

If you were worried about how they would portray the magic of the movie on stage, clearly you don’t know Disney. The trailer shows off some of the impressive tricks used to convey the magical world of Arendelle to audiences.

It really looks like a frosty, magical land of ice and snow, right there on stage! It’s amazing what can be done thanks to the geniuses behind the scenes.

The show stars Caissie Levy and Patti Murin as sisters Elsa and Anna, respectively. Other performers bringing the beloved animated show to life are  Jelani Alladin as Kristoff, John Riddle as Hans and Greg Hildreth as the lovable snowman Olaf.

Unfortunately, the trailer does not feature any new songs to tease us with. But Oscar-winning, husband-and-wife songwriting duo Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez wrote a dozen new songs to join the ones we already know and love from the film.

Some of the new tracks from the show, including “Monster,” have been already released ahead of opening night — just in case you can’t get tickets to the show for a while!
