Sports Relief may be just around the corner but the Hogwarts League has been going on for a few weeks now. Let’s see which house is out in front?

Come March 23, the Sports Relief Billion Step Challenge will be over and the winning house of the Hogwarts League will be crowned. Potterheads from all different walks of life have been taking part over the last few weeks, racking up the steps to ensure they bring some their house Hogwarts pride.

Pottermore gave an update via their website on the league and the standings of each house are;

  • Gryffindor is out in front with an average step count of 92,615.
  • Hufflepuff comes in second with an average step count of 84,512.
  • Ravenclaw is sitting at 82, 245.
  • Slytherin is in the rear with an average of 78,767.

Depending on who your house is will depend on how you take that news. I’m in Gryffindor, so whoopee!

The Hogwarts League

Unsurprisingly, the Hogwarts League is the most popular of all the leagues available. Nicole Masters, head of brand and comms from the Sports Relief Leadership Team, spoke to Pottermore about the Hogwarts League.

The Hogwarts league has over 25,000 participants currently taking part and together the league has taken over 1.5 billion steps since it began.

It’s a great start but this is no time to start slacking. The target set by Sports Relief is to take a billion steps during the week of March 17-23. In order to hit that target, everyone needs to chip and do their part. So make sure you are taking your steps, even on the weekends, and get your fellow Potterheads to take part if they are not doing so already.
